My Sansa

Sandisk Sansa e250

Sandisk Sansa e250

I needed to order a new Mp3 player when the head phone jack went on my MachSpeed Oasis. So I saw this one wanted it so bad! It looked sweet!

I ordered it monday and it came yesterday, Wensday. Two words describe it: IT ROCKS!

It does! It’s bigger than it looks (as big as an iPod Nano). It has a scroll wheel, it feels so nice, the controls are easy to use and I can do everything (and more) that I could do with my Oasis, and since this was the Refurbished version, it was cheaper than the Oasis. It was only $30. The retail price: $100.

The only down fall was the volume. When I first got it, I saw two volume settings: Normal and high. Each one was at ear-splitting levels. At normal, things were good, but I don’t like listening to music that loud in-doors. But, later I found that while listening to a song, the Scroll wheel also controls the volume!

It doesn’t come with the software, not that you need it. But I found it for free online anyway, somewhere on the Sandisk Forums. I already have most of my music installed along with some music videos and pictures. There are plenty of settings to mess around with. If you rip with Windows Media Player, WMP automatclly adds differant folders for differant bands, and it sorts it out on the Mp3 player that way. You can browse though your artists, albums, songs, or Genre. Make your own play lists on-player and rate your songs.

I really love this and recommend this to anyone who wants one! :D

P.S. The Scroll wheel lights up a really really cool blue when it’s being used. The picture doesn’t show the real color.

Ok… why are the seasons shifted?

Posted by: Craig Snedeker    in Totally Random

It’s true. All year it seems as if the seasons were shifted. Right now it’s raining out. OK. Good. But on the way to work, my dad passed though this town (7-8 minutes away from us) and there was snow EVERYWHERE. Wait a minute … its Octerber, right? It’s supossed to snow in December. Now a few years ago it didn’t snow to Januery lol. It’s weird…. I wonder who long it’ll be before we’re covered in snow.

In other news, friday is the rally race! can’t not wait! I’ll be uploading lots of videos and pictures, don’t worry.

Cheers :D

Wowzers, My Birthday!

Posted by: Craig Snedeker    in Cars, Food

This was probably my best birthday… ever! :D I passed my written drivers test and got my temporary learners permit. My dad wanted me to drive home. LOL. I was like “you might make it home alive” haha. I hope to start driving this weekend, but we’ll see.

I might need to think about getting a job, because I’ll need to pay for any damages I add to the Blazer. Haha, joking. But in a few years I’ll need to pay for insurance. I don’t have a job, so that’s bad. I was thinking about a job …. Pizza hut sounds like a good place to start. ;)

I had LOTS of pizza on the 16th. I had a special breakfast pizza, made from eyes… er, eggs, and things like that. We ate at Perkins for lunch and I ate to much. Way to much. But then for dinner I had real pizza. Yum. I eat 2 and 1/2 pieces because I needed to save room for desert: A desert pizza. No kidding, it’s good! Brownie crust with peanut butter icing, and topped with M&M’s, white chocolate chips, and pieces of Reese’s Pieces. My parents made it in secret and It looked store bought (and tasted that way :) yum!). So I was happy because I had pizza. Hee.

And a few days earlier I had my eye examine. I’d glad I passed, because I had trouble covering my left eye. No, it’s not hard, I just had trouble figuring out which eye to cover. But my brain came to the rescue and took control of my arm. Just in time, I spent like 5 seconds saying “ummmm…….” thinking which eye to cover. Ha ha!

I also got the X2008 album and have some new favorite songs, including Hawk NelsonThe Show“, SkilletWhispers in the Dark“, Thousand Foot KrutchFalls Apart“, Family Force FiveI love you to death” (saying its a weird band is an understatement, but the more I hear their songs the more I like them), and Flyleaf’s song “Fully Alive“.

Philmont - The Difference

Posted by: Craig Snedeker    in Multimedia

And something else. Yes, there’s more. An awesome music video. Thanks to Matt for this!

It’s a Christian Indie band I’ve never heard of before, but I do say, this video (and song) rock. And it’s good for a low-budget movie. Really.

Post on Poverty - Blog Action Day 2008

Posted by: Craig Snedeker    in Blog Action Day

Poverty is the lack of what you need to live on. Food, water, clothes, that sort of thing. Poverty is effecting people world wide. And Blog Action Day 2008 is doing something about it. They made a list of 88 differant things to do. Over 10,700 people are blogging about it, and 11,600,000+ people are reading about it.

“If there is a poor man among you, one of your brothers, in any of the towns of the land which the LORD your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart, nor close your hand to your poor brother; but you shall freely open your hand to him, and generously lend him sufficient for his need in whatever he lacks.- Deut. 15:7

Doug Cloud knows what Poverty is, he’s been there. Read his story…

WHAT IS POVERTY?

Poverty (also called penury) is deprivation of common necessities that determine the quality of life, including food, clothing, shelter and safe drinking water, and may also include the deprivation of opportunities to learn, to obtain better employment to escape poverty, and/or to enjoy the respect of fellow citizens.

Those living in poverty and lacking access to essential health services, suffering hunger or even starvation, experience mental and physical health problems which make it harder for them to improve their situation. One third of deaths - some 18 million people a year or 50,000 per day - are due to poverty-related causes: in total 270 million people, most of them women and children, have died as a result of poverty since 1990. Those living in poverty suffer lower life expectancy. Every year nearly 11 million children living in poverty die before their fifth birthday. Those living in poverty often suffer from hunger. 800 million people go to bed hungry every night. Poverty increases the risk of homelessness. There are over 100 million street children worldwide. Increased risk of drug abuse may also be associated with poverty  Wikipedia

“For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.” 2 Corinthians 8:9

Basketball

Yesterday I beat my record of the longest time playing basketball (which was like 20 minutes). Can you guess how long I was out there (Except you Kevin :P Since I told you ;) lol). Post a comment and guess.

It was awesome. I was listening to music on my MP3 Player most of the time. After a while a mom and her kid came and practiced and played at the other end of the court, but I didn’t tell them that the ball could get stuck in the net. ^_^ it doesn’t always so…. plus they never made a basket.

Then after another while a ton of kinds, well, 4 kids came down the road making noise and joined us. They were some neighbor kids, and two of them and I played Around the World. I pretty much lost, and I was on the last spot. lol.

Then they went home and the mother and her kid went to the playground for longer then I thought possible and I was alone for a long time. Then I went inside and it was 12:00, time for the computer and lunch :D

Can you guess how long I was out there?

Textures still aren’t that good, but my far, this is the best thing I’ve made yet. :) (Yes Kevin, you can drive this one!! :P LOL). As you can see in the pictures and videos, I have working taillights and exhaust smoke. Pretty snazzy eh?

See the Pictures:

Download: You can download this to play (you need Blender), but do not use it for anything else. Link.
