Tyreus Layout …

   Posted by: Craig Snedeker Tags:

I am working on the new Tyreus hosting layout. So far it’s turning out awesome, if I can say so selfishly. But I can’t get the stupid login box working. Trust me… DO NOT TRY ONE OF THESE!!! I’ve spent countless hours trying to hack my way around the errors (and that’s after troubleshooting and fixing bugs). Take a look.

It’s killing me. I am tired, my eyes hurt from staring at the screen, and my ears hurt from my music (my Mp3 player). And the fact that I can’t get this right is hurting.Something so simple taking a painstaking amount of time.

My Sansa

Sandisk Sansa e250

Sandisk Sansa e250

I needed to order a new Mp3 player when the head phone jack went on my MachSpeed Oasis. So I saw this one wanted it so bad! It looked sweet!

I ordered it monday and it came yesterday, Wensday. Two words describe it: IT ROCKS!

It does! It’s bigger than it looks (as big as an iPod Nano). It has a scroll wheel, it feels so nice, the controls are easy to use and I can do everything (and more) that I could do with my Oasis, and since this was the Refurbished version, it was cheaper than the Oasis. It was only $30. The retail price: $100.

The only down fall was the volume. When I first got it, I saw two volume settings: Normal and high. Each one was at ear-splitting levels. At normal, things were good, but I don’t like listening to music that loud in-doors. But, later I found that while listening to a song, the Scroll wheel also controls the volume!

It doesn’t come with the software, not that you need it. But I found it for free online anyway, somewhere on the Sandisk Forums. I already have most of my music installed along with some music videos and pictures. There are plenty of settings to mess around with. If you rip with Windows Media Player, WMP automatclly adds differant folders for differant bands, and it sorts it out on the Mp3 player that way. You can browse though your artists, albums, songs, or Genre. Make your own play lists on-player and rate your songs.

I really love this and recommend this to anyone who wants one! :D

P.S. The Scroll wheel lights up a really really cool blue when it’s being used. The picture doesn’t show the real color.

Tyreus

   Posted by: Craig Snedeker Tags:

I just wanted to take a minute and talk about Tyreus. Tyreus is a awesome free web host. You don’t pay with money, you pay with Forum posts. If you can meet up to the monthly post limit, you can have some awesome features like PHP, MySQL, Ruby on Rails, your own E-mails (tons of them also), sub domains, and much more.

I am actually a mod on their forums. Everyone on the forums are nice, and the staff is funny and helpful.

I also have my testemony on their homepage. I am posting a picture of it, because with every new member mine falls down and doesn’t display as much.

I hope you see you on the forums!

Cheers!

Blog Action Day 2008 - Poverty

   Posted by: Craig Snedeker Tags:

Thousands of users are going to get together and talk about Poverty this year, as part of Blog Action Day 2008. I thought I would help promote it. I think they are trying to accomplish something good by hearing the voices of tons of bloggers trying to find a way to stop poverty. Visit the website for more information.

I’ve made (and am going to keep on making) a T-shirt and bumper sticker about Poverty, and you can check them out here. They say Taxes cause Poverty. It’s true, really. The goverment wants to tax the life out of us. :D
